Don't worry you can say it, I'm late to the party, I know, I know. You have probably read 10 million reviews on this palette and seen it splattered across your Instagram feeds hundreds of times. But you'll have to let me off here because, come on, just look at it! How could I not include it? It deserves a whole blog post purely for that shiney, rose gold packaging that looks as though it has been designed by pinterest and hand-crafted by angels. So lets just pretend you've not seen it before, yeah? And admire it's beauty one last time.
When it first launched, I somehow managed to stop myself from buying this palette, and I was actually really proud of myself because although I don't like to admitt it, I know I don't need anymore palettes, or anymore makeup at all for that matter, but we won't go into that, it's quite a sore subject. Anyway, but then Christmas came along and Santa was saying "oh, hey hun, you might as well add that UD palette to your wish list now, hadn't you, ya?". So the moral of the story is I caved, and it went on my Christmas list along with multiples of other make-up I really don't need. But it's all matte, so technically it's completely different to all my other palettes, and yeah..
When I opened it on Christmas Day, it was the first time I had seen it in "real life" and I think my face probably resembled that of a mother holding her new born baby for the first time. It was a special moment. Even though I had stalked it on blogs, pinterest and instagram for endless hours It was somehow even better than I had imagined. Before even testing out the product I can tell you that they have nailed the packaging and shades to perfection. If Carlsburg did make-up palettes this would be it.
Swatches:
Top Line: Left to Right
Blow // Nudie // Comando // Tempted // Instinct // Lethal
Bottom Line: Left to Right:
Pre-Game // Extra Bitter // Faith // Lock-out // Magnet // Blackjack
There are a great selection of shades in the palette, lots of nice bright base shades, followed by cool toned transition shades which makes the palette super versatile. I then like to add some of the burgandy or burnt orange shade to darken my crease and there you have it, an easy everyday smoky eye! Yas!
The formula is blendable, creamy and highly pigmented. The only obvious downside to the palette is that it's all matte, but that's also what makes it unique? Have you tried out/seen the Basics palette? What are your thoughts? - Other Posts You Might Enjoy -

Mattes are my fav!!! The packaging is lovely too. The only reason I haven't bought it is because I think they are too cool toned for me xx
