Going for GUCCI

HELLO 2017!!! How are you all?! I had planned to make a really catchy, quirky intro to my first post of 2017, but in true Georgie style I spent to much time over thinking it and therefore left it too late and "Hello 2017" is all you're getting. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & A VERY Happy New Year.
So, are you ready to get back to reality? Nope, me neither. 

As I feel I've teased you for long enough, I thought I'd kick off the year with a pretty big one. A reveal of my main Christmas present, my new GUCCI bag. Hurrrahhhh! I won't be doing a "what I got for Christmas" post as such, but a lot of the gifts I recieved (mainly beauty) will feature across my blog in January as new ins, and more than likely in my January Favourties, so keep your eyes peeled.

Handbags have always been my weakness, they are the one item that I have always invested that little bit more money into. I love being able to chuck on a super simple outfit, but then spicing it up with a nice handbag. There is just something effortlessly stylish about it.
​When buying handbags, I always tend to go for classic, no fuss, timeless pieces, usually in black. My last purchase was my YSL Monogram Croc bag which you can see my post abouthere. This time, I decided I needed to step out my usual hole, just a little big anyway, I managed to sway away from the black and go for NUDE! I know, I know, it's not crazy and it's not a huge statement bag, but for me, it's a big step! I wanted to ensure that I would still get a lot of use out of it, and as my black bag might not get too much use in summer, I thought the Nude would be able to take over. See, how sensible am I? One bag for each season!?

So, here it is! After A LOT of contemplating and scrolling pinterest, reading reviews and checcking websites for different styles/colours, I went for the GUCCO SOHO LEATHER DISCO BAG In Rose Beige. The bag retails at £715.00 making it actually quite reasonable (on the scale of designer bags that is!) and the quality feels and looks superb. The thing that pulled me towards the Gucci the most is the size. Although the bag looks fairly small, compack and wearable it actually holds SO MUCH! It is a deep/wide bag meaning it's quite box shaped and therefore it can hold a lot. As an example, I can fit my purse, iPhone 7 Plus phone, my Olympus Pen camera, my portable battery charger and a compact mirror lipstick/gloss and car keys in perfectly. If anyone would like I'd be happy to a do a more in depth post of what can fit in the bag after I have used it a bit more, I would be happy to!
