12 Blog Props: To make your photos BANGIN'

I am in no way suggesting that my blog photography is the best in the bloggersphere, in fact it's nowhere near, BUT, what I would say I'm pretty damn good at *pats self on the back* is being a major blog prop hoarder- like seriously. I just can't help it, my mind says no but my flatlay says yes, yano? Whack any Marble/Rose Gold/Copper or ooh pretty fairy lights in front of me and I'm YOURS!
The likes of IKEA, Paperchase and TKMAX have made a little fortune outta' me and I thought it was only fair for me to share my fave picks with you guys so you might pick some up yourself, to at least make myself feel a lil' bit better about the amount I have, so thanks!
Picture
So here are my 12 must have Blog Props - I have given some examples and also added a little Blog Prop shop at the bottom of the post so you can go WILD just like me - enjoy!
1. CARD
(preferably the biggest you can get your mitts on!) Mainly in White card will be your best friend, perfect for backgrounds, flatlays, and just about everything else. I also cover card with marble sticky back plastic, so I can at least pretend I have an all marble house *dreammmmy*
2. MAGAZINES
A glossy mag somehow works so well in blog photographs, the best thing is they are cheap & you can mix them up whenever you want!
Picture
3. ALL THE FAIRY LIGHTS
These are a MUST - they have made such a difference to my images, and have just added a bit of somethin' somethin', yano?  I would recommend these teeny copper ones, as they are: 1. copper and 2. are small but bright enough to add some twinkle.
4. FLOWERS
The fresh kind where possible. The just look, well, nice. Plus if you can keep them alive afterwards, thats a bonus!
6. NOTEBOOKS
And I'm not talking your standard staples lined paper-pad, I'm talking anything with a scroll written life quote on, generic examples "this is the life" "part unicorn" or "doodles" are the usual culprits, you know the drill. Anyway however cliche the quote, they look damn good in pictures, whether they're adding some colour or just to look like you have got stuff going on, yano? Some of my faves is this black marble and white marble notebook !
Picture
7. ROSE GOLD PAPERCLIPS
A little specific, I know, but the silver ones are boring, am I right? Just scatter them everywhere like fairy dust and they look pretty sexual. These are my faves here and here
8. CANDLES
All the candles please - there is nothing that oozes a bit of ambiance more than a sultry burning candle, the Diptique ones are particularly Instagram friendly, but there are cheaper alternatives, I promise - like this one !
9.  SUCCULENTS/CACTUS
The dream blogger plant (plus it's really hard to kill a catus, trust me, it's the only thing I've managed to keep alive). They look sophisticated yet homely, if that makes sense?
10. BLANKETS/THROWS
Something to make your photos a bit warm/cosy - particularly good for winter. However its also great for adding a bit of texture to your pictures - I wouldn't advise photographing make-up on your new cream throw however (speaking from experience)
Picture
11. PRINTS/POSTCARDS
Prints are everywhere right now, so you are bound to easily stumble across ones you can relate to, the best place, I find to buy them is ETSY - you can find a huge array of designs at the BEST prices.
12. LIGHTBOX
You will have seen them everywhere by now, but the super affordable Light Boxes where you can personalise your own letters make the DREAM blog prop. Its so versatile because you can use it so many times over & over again but change up what it says each and every time - meaning it never gets old - HURRAH! My fave is this New Look one & its super cheap!

Three frickin' pounds for those copper star paper clips?!? I'm gonna have to get me some of those! Seriously though Georgie, you are the queen of blog props. Every post you publish has me drooling over the photography. Got a white marble sticky back sample from B&Q a few weeks ago so I've been enjoying using that. One hundred percent all over those fairy lights and paper clips so they're next on the list! ❤️

I love love love the copper mini fairy lights. I'm definitely not that great at blog photography, most of my photos are taken real time and aren't staged or flat lays. I really like the look of them, but I worry that it's all just trends that come and go and before long everyone will move onto the next thing. Alice xxx

This is the first time I'm coming across your blog and i love it! This post has me SHOOK with the photography and the prop game is most definitely A1! My question is where would I get like marble to lay things on that doesn't cost me my entire bank account plus someone else's? I wanna start doing my own photos but with judt a phone camera I wanna make sure everything else I use is grade A+

I don't really care about photo props, but I do like seeing them in other's photos. I really like your list as all things should be pretty easy to get and affordable.
I just want to add I've killed multiple cactuses, so I'll skip that one :)
