Just the thought of writing this post left me with sleep-less nights, How could I possibly narrow down my little babies- to just one each? Oh, I already feel the guilt.
Anyway, I saw this Idea on one of my FAVOURITE Bloggers Blogs - Kirsty from Life In Excess (she is fabulous and you should check her out). I thought I just had to give it ago, because yano, if ever there is a time in my life where I have to revert to only CHOOSING ONE - then I can use this list, yano?
So here, goes -
Oh god what have I gotten' myself into - this is never going to work. Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Base Foundation
I am proud to say that this one is something surprisingly affordable & bloody brilliant. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will be well aware of my love for this foundation. It gives you full coverage, with out caking your face, and leaves me with a glow, with out looking shiny. It also lasts allll day long.
*I wanted to add I have also been currently testing & loving the Urban Decay All Nighter foundation & I have been loving that to - but I've not been using it long enough for it to take the title! Concealer: Maybeline FIT ME
This bad-boy is the dogs b*llocks - litterally. I would compare it to the NARS creamy radiant concealer - only cheaper and, well, better. There is a reason it is always sold out - this concealer blends SO well, doesn't leave you with under eye creases, it high coverage and to top it all off - is BLOODY CHEAP! Oohh baby! Get it or regret it'
Powder: Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder
This one was surprisingly easy for me - which makes me realise how much I bloody' love this powder! I use it to set under my eyes to brighten the area and set my concealer. I then lightly set the rest of my face leaving me brightened with out being "oily". It's quite pricey, but its worth it, trust me. You can find out more in the full Rodial post I did here or you can pick it up for yourself here.
Bronzer: Chanel LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Compact Powder
Called a powder, used as a bronzer. The formula blends straight into my skin, leaving a flawless/golden look whilst keeping matte. It actually reminds me a little of MAC Give Me Sun bronzer which is another of my favourites, but it just seems to blend a little easier and just warms my face up nicely! I suggest that you try it!
Blusher: NARS Orgasm
Basic B*tch, I know - but I gotta' be honest, it's my fave. Pretty much every beauty lover will havethis blush in their collection, and I can see why. It gives the perfect pinky/peach flush to the cheeks whilst adding a slight highlight. I find myself going back to it over and over again, and I'm yet to find anything to top it.
Highlighter: Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop
I LOVE ALL MY HIGHLIGHTERS - I keep telling myself this as I have been walking around my room, going from one to the other, before deciding that I simply can't choose and this whole thing is ridiculous. But, I have to admit, I do keep going back to the same one over & over again. Champagne Pop is like nothing I have ever seen before, the golden glow gives me a little excited twinge everytime it hits my cheekbones - so for that reason It's gotta' be my fave.
Eye-shadow: Make Up Geek Creme Brulee
My favourite pallet with out a DOUBT it the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette; but sighh, I'm guessing I'm only allowed one shade here, so it would have to be... Dun, dun, ddduunnnnnnnnnn: Make Up Geek Eye shadow pan in shade Creme Brulee! It is a medium/sand colour that has a soft/matte finish. It is super easy for days where I don't have time and you can just whack some all over the lid and it gives you a neutral yet chiseled look. I love it!
Mascara: Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara
This one is a bit of a fail to be honest, because you can no longer get this mascara anywhere!? I only brought it a few months back... but anyway, this is a bit of an odd one because when I first tried it, I HATED IT. It did nothing for me. But then because of the price, I thought I need to bloody' get some use of this, and I tried it in a different way, I added a thin layer, waited a few minutes and added another - yes - it's a pain in the arse to apply but when I spend the time, it's totally worth it - it gives the false lash effect, whilst still looking totally natural? Please come back YSL :(
Lip Product: Illamasqua Limited Edition Shade BORN Lipstick
Another horrendous choice asthis has now completely sold out & I've hardly got anything left in mine (hence why I had to use a photograph I took previously of it in this post - I can't bare the thought of an empty lippie) But I have been LOVING it - it is the perfect, universal nude - it has a matte finish but is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel drying. Now I need to find an alternative..

I love reading posts like this! And I fully agree with you about the Champagne Pop and the Nars blusher - those are both on my everyday staples list! x

This is a great idea for a post! I'm doing a 'make up must haves' series at the moment (I'm only two posts in) where I narrow it down to my top three of every product with a budget option as the fourth choice because turns out I'm a make up snob. So the thought of narrowing it down to one choice per product brings me out in cold sweats, but you have some gorgeous pieces here. Still need to get my hands on Champagne Pop, I know it's gonna be life changing xx
