Rodial have been a brand I have heard on the top beauty bloggers lips for a while now, and I have finally had the chance to get my hands on some fabulous pieces to try for myself! Aside from the obvious, I.E the stunning packaging and the wonderful sounding products, after hearing so much about the brand, I was excited to actually give them a try myself and see what all the fuss was about! I have reviewed a mixture of both Make-up & skincare allowing me to give you my best first impressions of Rodial all round. Come see! M A K E U P"I use this mainly under my eyes, using the baking technique, but unfortunately, I'm not talking about cookies & cakes"Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder RRP: £52.00 I must say, this was the product I was MOST excited to try, the banana powder is right up my makeup street, and after using a Sephora Dupe of this for a few months I was excited to see the difference in products. I can firstly, and honestly say that the Rodial Powder blew the Sephora one out of the water. If you are a little confused as to why you would need a YELLOW powder, then don't worry, a few months ago I probably would have laughed at you. Bloody yellow powder, what would I use that for! Well I can tell you now I LOVE my yellow powder, and I need you all to know about it! The shade first of all suits most skin tones, meaning it can be worn by almost everyone. The yellow powder reduces redness (something I suffer with) and it can also help to combat under eye dark circles leaving you looking bright eyed & bushy tailed (I really don't like that saying, but its the only thing I could think of). The product can be used in a number of ways however I like to use it mainly under my eyes using the "Baking" technique, and unfortunately I'm not talking about cookies or cakes. So after your foundation simply apply a generous layer of the powder under your eyes, leaving it to "bake" for a few minutes (I usually leave it whilst I finish off my eye make up, or apply my lippie!) Then, using a fan or powder brush, gently brush away any excess leaving you with a subtle highlight/brightened eye area. The reason it works so well is that even though the powder is essential a highlighter it is matte, so looks so much more natural. Following that the powder is fine enough to last all day without caking or creating any build up, which is my pet hate! Airbrush Make-up Shade 01 RRP: £35.00 The product I was most apprehensive about was this one, especially when It arrived and I saw how thick the consistency was, I instantly panicked thinking how am I going to blend this- my arms going to ache! However after doing my research, watching Wayne Goss (youtube star) apply the product and getting some more information off the lovely Rodial team, I found out how best to apply it, and I was able to create the most perfect foundation/concealer for me! Just adding a few drops of any face oil to my Airbrush makeup allows it to become a creamier, easier to blend yet still SUPER high coverage foundation. If you are in need of a photo-ready skin perfecting foundation this one is for you. The creamy formula leaves your skin looking flawless, with out looking cakey, and luminous without looking oily. Despite it's super thick texture it actually feels light weight on the skin, and still feels as though your skin can breathe. I have had so many compliments when wearing the foundation, about how beautiful my skin looks, It really does last all day looking the exact same when I return home from a long day, I am able to go from day to night with-out having to reapply my foundation which has never been the case before. It also doesn't settle into any fine lines and it doesn't crease under my eyes which has always been a pet-peeve for me! using alongside my Instaglam powder (above) I think I have found my dream skin base combination. A little also goes a long way meaning the pot will last you a long time. The product comes in 4 shades, allowing you to find the perfect shade for your skin tone. S K I N C A R E" It's not as scary as it sounds, and it's now a WONDER product for me "Dragons Blood Cleansing Water RRP: £29.00 A little skeptical in the beginning, reading that my cleansing water had hyaluronic acid in it, I found myself slightly squinting, apprehensive to use it due to my sensitive eyes. However being my over dramatic self, and after waiting for a few minutes after use, sure that any second my eyes would burn and fall out, I realised ooh it didn't sting, in fact, It feels lovely, and all my makeup's gone! Even that bloody waterproof mascara! DING! We are on to a winner. Ever since then, it's been love. This wonderful cleansing water including ingredients such as Rose Water which refreshes the skin, and decongests it. Vitamin B3 which Evens the skin tone, brightens and illuminates. Hyaluronic Acid which provides long lasting hydration and reduces the appearance of fine lines. The final ingredient which I was obviously a little confused by was Dragons Blood (say whhaaaat) But its ok, it's actually from a Croton Lechleri Tree, It helps ensure protection against enviromental aggressors. So overall the Dragons Bloody Cleanser is nowhere near as scary as it sounds, and its actually a WONDER product for me. It removes my makeup with ease, whilst giving my skin soooo many benefits, leaving it feeling nothing short of amazing. Super Acids X-treme Acid Rush Peel RRP: £75.00 I have never tried an Acid Peel before - I have heard of the wonders they can do for your skin, and after really doing my research on this one, I couldn't wait to try it for myself. Promising to brighten, renew, clear and leave my skin with a youthful glow, the peel had a lot to live up to! You use the product twice weekly leaving it on your face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with warm water. (for those with sensitive skin it is recommended that use use once weekly and build up from there, which is what I did). I have now been using the peel for 3 weeks, and have now upped to using it twice a week. My skin has straight away after the first two uses began to look brighter and more even. I always use the product before I go to bed at night and after each use I always wake up with my skin feeling and looking better than it did before. I cannot wait to continue using this wonder product to see how far my results can go - it just seems to be getting better & better! The price tag may be a little steep but I can honestly say that it really is worth it- I really wouldn't tell you to spend so much money if I wasn't seeing amazing results myself and I really am! I really want a banana powder, I debated on the Ben Nye one but still haven't got around to grabbing it! I don't think I could part with £52 though! I'm so intrigued by the chemical peel though, I've always wanted one as heard such good things. Will have to grab that one xx
