First Impressions: Figs & Rouge Skincare

It isn't often that I am WOWED by a brand I haven't heard of before, I will shamefully admit that sometimes I can be a bit of a snob with brands. I like to stick to brands that I know and love. However Figs & Rouge are an exception to this rule, as only 6 weeks ago I had never even heard of the brand, which after finding out they are actually stocked on Feel Unique I am a little silly saying! I can honestly say that since then they have quickly become a big part of my skincare/beauty routine and I feel like I have known the brand for years! Come and find out why..

As you can probably see, the first thing that WOWED me about the brand was the beautiful packaging my products arrived in. The attention to detail is second to none, and this is something that is really important to me, I love things that are well presented and you can see the time and effort that has gone into making it that way. The packaging of the products themselves are another thing I love. It is simple and luxurious looking whilst still having all the relevant information on the bottles. I am also a huge fan of the limited edition tins of the hero creams, it gives them a personal touch and adds a bit of fun to the brand!

The main product I NEED to talk to you about, and my favourite from the brand is the HERO cream (above), this is Figs & Rouge's I guess you would say "CULT" product, and I could quickly see why.  The Hyaluronic Acid 3-in-1 Cream is a multi-purpose product that can be used on both the face & body - this is always a bonus for someone like me who doesn't really have time to faff with different things for different places, The "whack it all over" technique works well for me... The handy travel tin makes it so easy to throw in your handbag and would be perfect for moisturising your skin during flights/long journeys. The product adjusts the moisture levels in your skin so that your skin always has the right level of moisture regardless of the temperature or climate - genuis right?! The thing I love the most is that it feels like it is giving my skin the moisture you would expect from a thick cream, whilst being light, quick and fast absorbing! I also noticed my skin seemed brighter and more glowing after use.

It has only been in the past few years that I have realised the importance of cleanser. I was a make-up wipe lover, purley due to the ease of it, and so it wasn't until I cleansed my face AFTER using a make-up wipe and saw how much makeup was left that I realised "oh crap, I've been sleeping in half a face of make-up all my life", Since then, cleanser has been a part of my routine EVERYDAY. I have never been particuarly loyal to a cleanser, I find one I like, use it for a while and then move on to the next, but I am a beauty blogger after all so I guess that just comes with the job! The Figs & Rouge Clarifiante Purifying Cleansing Gel Wash, is one that yes I have liked, and yes I have been using the past few weeks. It leaves my skin squeaky clean and fresh. I tend to do a double cleanse with the product, not because I feel like it isn't enough the first time, I do this with all cleansers as I feel like it ensures you are getting deep into the skin and ensuring all my makeup is gone. The cleanser also benefits from anti-blemish support which gives me confidence that it is clearing my skin as well as cleaning it.

Face Masks are my little go-to pamper treat and there is nothing I love more than chilling out, scrolling Instagram and letting something work its magic on me. Due to this as you can imagine I have quite the stash of face-masks, due to this I have only used the Pore Clarifying Mineral Detox Mask once so I don't feel like I can give an indepth review on it, however what I can say is that it left my skin feeling extra clean and clear straight after use. It is designed to un-clog pores and relieve your skin of excess oils. I am excited to use it again and see what the further results are like.

The Matifying Emulsion is one of those products that you can actually feel working on your skin- and you really just can't beat that feeling, can you! It is really designed for people with oily skin, which I don't have, but I do notice my T-zone tends to go a little "shiny" through-out the day so I decided to apply it around there. When you apply the product you can feel it tightening your skin, I noticed that not only does it keep my T-zone shine free through-out the day it also minimises the pores around my nose.  I then use my Laura Mercia Hydrating primer across the other areas of my face. I would highly recomend this product to anyone with Oily Skin as I think it makes a real difference.

The Activ Hero Balm for LIPS is another product alongside the HERO cream that has found its way into my handbag, and showing no signs of coming out! I have tried and tested many lip balms/oils/scrubs over the years and I have found only a few I love and use. My main two being my Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream for Lips and the Clarins Comfort Lip Oil. This product is now up there with those two for me, because all 3 of them not only soothe my dry lips on application but they also are the only products I have found that I feel continue working afterwards. With other lip balms I find myself having to apply them constantly to feel the benefits, whereas with this it continues to soothe and moisturise for a while after use.

Oh wow! I haven't even used mine yet. I'm currently testing out some other products but I've almost been using them over a month and these are next on my list! I've tried the little tins and they are so hydrating and light and I was so impressed. I didn't know they stocked there products on feel unique, so happy to know that though just incase I fall in love with their products, which by the sounds of it, I will be.

Oh Georgie! This is the first time I've popped onto your site this year (hanging my head in absolute shame as I typed that) and damn have I missed it! Your photography is so beautiful - spent a lot of time gawping at your insta over the Christmas break) and your post was fab! I've never heard of this brand but it all looks and sounds beaut. Another thing to add to my ever growing wish list which I should really entitle 'Georgie Made Me Buy It'! xx
