Seeing as I am a self-confessed beauty hoarder and I have enough highlighters to give a small country a "popping glow" I decided it was about time I started sharing more of it with you. I am starting a series on my blog called "What's new in my beauty collection" so that everytime I buy a new product or I'm sent something that I think you guys might like, I will share them with you. Obviously along with my thoughts on them, some pictures and where you can buy them yourselves. I will try and do them in groups of 3 so not to bombard you with TOO much uh-mazing beauty at a time. So, enough rambling, lets get into it! Here is my first installment #1.
MAC Cosmetics
These two beautys were one of those impulse "Oh my god I need them" purchaes, although techincally 1. I do NOT need another highlighter and 2. I have enough bronzers to make me have a glowing tan all year round. However, well, yano, have you seen them? They're so pretty, aren't they? I picked up the MAC Give Me Sun Mineral Skinfinish - I had heard SO many good things about this shade, it warms to face up to give it the perfect sun-kissed glow. Not only this, but the real reason I brought it, was to use it as an eye-shadow. Just trust me here, I have a thing with using bronzers as eye-shadows and honestly, it really, really works. They make the PERFECT transition colours, and this one has to be the best I have found so far! Please do try it out!
Next I picked up the Extra Dimension Skin Finish in shade BEAMING BLUSH - as soon as I saw it I just knew I had to have it. This highlighting powder gives the most stunning peachy glow you ever did see. It's like a few pink fairies have sprinkled their magic fairy dust over your cheeks and said YOU GLOW GIRL. Just trust me, you need it! Morphe Brushes 9B Blush Palette
The Morphe Brushes 9B Blush palette was kindly gifted to me at the Beauty Bay Blogger event in October, I was so excited to test this out as soon as I returned home because I have always been fairly "boring" with my blush choices, and always tend to play it very safe. I like how there is a good variety in this palette with-out it being to bold and out there. All shades are wearable, and there is a shade for every skin tone and every occasion. It has allowed me to experiment with different shades/tones with-out leaving the house looking like a clown. The formula is pigmented but not so pigmented that it stands out to much, it blends really nicely into skin and for the price tag of £17.50 for 9 full sized blushes, I don't think you can really go wrong! This would also make the perfect gift for a blush lover/ someone who would like to try more shades, like me! Get yours Below:
Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette
Believe it or not this palette was handed to me directly by the man himself, Jeffree Star. This was also at the Beauty Bay Event and trust me when I say he was just as fabulous in real life. Although the palette looks quite bold (scary) it is actually a lot more wearable than it looks. China White is the perfect base shade, topped with courtney which makes the perfect transition colour nude. The shades are super creamy and pigmented and therefore they blend like a DREAM. I then love to use one of the more bold shades in my crease, usually either Confession (the gorgrous burgandy), Viglence (the deep purple), or Expensive (a stunning teal blue). Further to this you can create a darker smoky eye by adding either of the two dark black/grey shades, or you can brighten the look with the "Rich Bitch" shimmer gold shade or the Light pink "princess". So yeah, what I am trying to get across is that it is actually a lot more wearable thatn it looks. Each eyeshadow pan is also huge, meaning you are getting a lot more shadow for your money. It's an all round star for me, and I am so grateful for having the chance to test it out!
I hope you like this idea of featuring my new-in beauty on here, do let me know! And I will keep them coming! Is there anything from this post you have tried, or anything you would like to?
