When Aldi challenged me to make a recipe using only Aldi Ingredients - of course I said YES! Because, well, CHEESECAKE! Let me introduce you to the Ultimate Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake. Basically a mouthful of heaven, the smooth hazelnut and chocolate flavors compliment the dreamy biscuit base perfectly and leave you wanting just that extra slice more. Whats better, the recipe is super easy to follow and the ingredients are so affordable, you have no excuse! Come'on, get some down ya!.

Ingredients:

All Ingredients can be found at Aldi:
- 230g Digestive Biscuits
- 75g Unsalted Butter
- 400g Cream Cheese
- 125g Caster Sugar
- 200g Nutoka (Aldi's version of Nutella)
- 3 Eggs and 2 Egg Yolks
- 50g White Chocolate
- 50g Dark Chocolate (I used Milk Chocolate)
- 200g Cream Fraiche
- 1/2 tbsp Icing Sugar (Sifted)
- 2 tbsp Itish Cream Liqueur

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas mark 4 and grease and base line a 20cm spring-form tin.
  • Place the biscuits into a food processor and process until broken down to crumbs.
  • Melt the butter in a pan and then stir in the digestive crumbs. Spread the mixture over the base of the tin.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, Nutoka, eggs and egg yolks until smooth.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture into the tin. Bake for 1 hour, until the middle of the cheese stops wobbling – you may need to cover the top with foil if it starts to brown too much.
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or in a bowl over a pan of simmering water and swirl the chocolate over the cheesecake to decorate. Sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
  • Whisk together the crème fraiche, icing sugar and Irish Cream liqueur and serve with slices of the cheesecake.

Omg Georgie this looks insane ha ha I actually am addicted to cheesecake! I had one made for my birthday one year instead of a cake. I make one with a muffin in and it's so nice! Definitely giving this one a ago! Xoxo

Oh Em Gee Georgie - this sounds bloody brilliant. It's half term next week so may have to have a go making this (minus the Irish liqueur) with Mia. If the recipe wasn't enough to entice me, which it more than is btw, your gorgeous pics make it a done deal!
