I'm going to keep this post fairly short and sweet because 1. I am not claiming to be some kind of Marbella expert 2. I've only been a handful of times 3. we stay at a family friends apartment so I can't recommend accommodation and 4. most of the restaurants/bars I am going to suggest aren't down to hard long research - they're just down to what we have happened to stumble across after a jug or 2 of sangria.
But anyway, obviously I needed an excuse to show off my pretty holiday photographs and I can promise you that if you are headed to MARBS there are a few places I would 100% recommend you pop in to! THE OLD & THE NEW
Firstly I must start by saying Marbella has a bit of somethin' somethin' for everyone, but seeing both sides is a MUST. Be sure to hit up Puerto Banus, people watch from one of the many bars, watch the super cars drive past and dream of a life on one of the many GIGANTIC yachts anchored at the port. The port is always buzzing and is full of bars and restaurants, plus lots of shops - the designer kind of course so don't forget your euros.
Old Town Marbella on the other hand, couldn't be more different. It is just so Spanish. Traditional. Stunning! There are lots of little cobbled streets filled with Spanish shops and local produce. There are tonnes of bars and restaurants nestled around and hidden gems to be found on every corner - you must head there! ASTRAL COCKTAIL BAR
Set at the edge of Puerto Banus this pirate ship shaped (that's a mouthful) bar is a must do. The cocktails are bloody massive & taste pretty sexy to. A little pricey, for sure, but you are getting more than your average sized fruit bowl of fresh fruit piled on top so kinda good value for money if you ask me.
MILKA BEACH BAR
A little gem we discovered on a wonder along the beach, this sea food beach bar has been a firm favourite of our holiday. It holds a chilled out relaxed beach vibe whilst still serving uh-MAZING fresh sea food. Also the cocktails are an Instagram dream, along with the decor. Win win. You might want to book if you heading on a Saturday/Sunday lunch.
 ARCO TAPAS BAR
Without getting ahead of my self I just want to state that this is the BEST TAPAS I HAVE EVER EATEN. So good in fact I didn't even take any photographs. God damn.
This tiny little spot in the heart of Old Town Marbella is always super busy & popular with the locals to. Sounds silly but you really feel like you're in Spain here. The food, wine, atmosphere and service is second to none and if you are tapas fan like me, please please please go here! (You might want to book if heading here on a weekend - or peak season)
Have you ever visited Marbella, or are you thinking of visiting? Do let me know! xo
