Hey My Loves - here goes, the first subscription box post of 2017. It's safe to say that I have been somewhat "slacking" on the blogging side of life lately, but I promise it was just a small little relapse. I wasn't 100% happy with the content I was creating and I have decided I want to change things up a little. Just a few little tweaks here and there. As of yet I'm not sure what those "tweaks" are going to be, but we shall see where my mouse takes me, and hopefully it will be positive changes. One change already rolling into place is the "longer" title images, I like the way they look and plus they are more pinterest friendly, so I am going to see how that goes! For now, let me introduce you to the January Birchbox, come and have a nosy as to whats inside the ADORABLE yellow box.
Merci Handy Hand Cream
A winter essential to keep those mitts soft and moisturised. As the name suggests this brand is best for "handy" products and they're always good ones to keep in your handbag. I also like that it doesn't leave much residue on your hands and sinks in very quickly.
Nails Inc Mini Polish
As I get Gel on my nails often, I don't tend to use nail varnish too often, therefore I am usually disappointed when seeing them in my subscription boxes. However this shade makes up for it, and I'm already excited for the time between gels that I can test it out! It is from the special effects range and is supposed to leave a chrome like finish! Fancy!
Whish Shave Cream
Despite being guilty of using condition as shaving cream (it does make your legs soft I promise!) I now know after reading up on it the importance of using an actual shaving cream. This one in particular gives you a really close shave with-out taking any moisture. It also helps protect against anti-redness and irritation which can normally be caused from shaving.
Lord & Berry Conceal-It Crayon Shade Beige
As a beauty blogger, any new concept or idea I haven't tried before brings me much JOY - this crayon is exactly that. I have never tried a concealer in a crayon form, and I was a little skeptical as to how it would work. To be honest the results with it aren't overwhelming but I did enjoy using it. It has a creamy formula and the shade luckily for me was perfect for highlighting my under eye area and for toning down some redness. It is handy to pop in your handbag, however I must admit I still found myself reaching for my usual concealer to as I wanted that bit more coverage.
NUXE Dry Oil Shimmer
After being a NUMBER 1 fan of the original Dry oil from NUXE along with a fair few of their other products, I couldn't wait to give this a try. I particularly love it for an evening out where your legs might be making an appearance! It gives them a bronzed glow which makes my pale o' pins look half decent. Love it!
Overall I was pretty please with the Jan Birchbox and my product highlights this month would have to the NUXE DRY OIL and the WHISH SHAVE CREAM which have both found their way into my everyday beauty routines!
