1. WIFI WIFI WIFI
Probably the most exciting news EVER - I have freaking WIFI HUZZZAAAAAHH! I have been virtually living in cave man times for the past month and it’s pretty freaking exciting being able to actually FaceTime my friends rather than have to send messages via carrier pigeon (ok thats a bit OTT). But you get the jist… Virgin Media have finally been the little babes that they promised they would be and given me pretty speedy wifi! I can actually start saving the ££££ I’ve been spending in Starbucks whilst stealing their wifi.
2. BOARD GAMES
Probably a slightly embarrassing point, because hello 23 year old acting like someone of approx 97 years old, but since the WIFI install only happened right at the end of July (the eve of the 26th to be precise) I had to find some other ways to entertain, yano, rather than actually be social - obvs. I decided to pick up a few board games from the always handy amazon. I picked up Cranium and Cluedo and we’ve had a many a night playing until quite late (even late on Granny’s watch I tell you). It was actually nice to do something different other than sit on our phones.
3. PLANTS
Ok I think I might have basically turned into Alan Titchmarsh because I have been bleedin’ LOVING plants. Give me all the plants, all of them the small ones, the big ones, the spiky ones, the leafy ones, the flowery ones. I now have 11 little plant babies to be exact and guess what, I’ve actually been a good plant mummy so far and *touch wood* none of them have died yet. I L O V E the way the green adds some fresh colour to a room <3 Ps I also love that it means visiting lots of Garden Centres and obviously always stopping for tea/cake.
4. KIEHL'S BUTTERSTICKS
When I first saw that these lil' beauts (oh em gee how gorg is the packing 5* to Kiehl's) retail at £19.50 each I was a little bit oooh ahhh. But then guess what, I tried them, tried them again, and then continued to use them for the rest of July every day since I've had them! I'm a bit picky with my Lip Balms as I have tried a lot of them through-out the years, but I can confirm they are 110% worth the money and I will be picking more up AS soon as I run out. They are super easy to apply, although a stick formula they almost melt onto the lips and blend into a moisturising/soothing loveliness. Your lips feel instantly comforted after applying. They kindly sent me 3 to try.. un-tinted, which I use at night, naturally nude, which naturally is my FAVE (pardon the pun) and touch of berry, which I was a lil' scared of because "oh my god something other than nude" but actually I kinda like it as it's more subtle than it looks when applied to the lips! Ps - they also contain SPF 25 which is fabulous <3 Check them outhere.
5. TESTING GINS
Since I’ve basically become a GIN freak - (I wish I could say Gym freak, but nooooope) - I decided to make it my mission to try a few different gins every month! Obviously I have been loving “task” - I do laugh at the targets I set myself. Anyway, this month I tried Hendricks (absolute personal FAVE especially with elderflower tonic & cucumber slices - MOUTH. WATERING). I also used up the rest of my bottle of Pinkster, another fabulous gin which I find really smooth and easy to drink. Finally I picked up a bottle of BLOOM Gin, the packaging is beautiful and I certainly enjoyed my G&T but it was probably my least favourite out of the 3.
6. PERCY & REED EXTRA HOLD HAIRSPRAY
This is my new Saturday night hairspray because it does literally last all night (on the Saturdays I actually drag myself out, yano rather than slothing on the sofa in my PJs which I can't lie I kind of prefer! This hairspray gives you full 100% hold, volume and a bitta OOMPH with-out leaving your hair feeling G R O S S which I find happens a lot with strong hold hair sprays. So it's a YES from me. Plus the bottles pretty.. win, win. (Buy it here)
7. FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY
Richards nephew turned 1 this month and we celebrated with a party at their house in London. He looked SO cute in this little birthday outfit and it was such a lovely day. For his birthday we brought him a baby rucksack for when he starts nursery in September, it’s personalised with his name on and it’s possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
8. SETTLING IN AT HOME
Ive been in the house for over a month now and it's really starting to feel like my home <3. It still needs things doing, and I need to add some personal touches and some colour, like some photos and prints but I really feel at home, and cosy here now. I'm already excited for Autumn/winter when I can snuggle up with my throws with hot chocolate!
9. ONLINE SHOPPING DEALS
You're probably thinking I'm gonna start going on about ASOS or Topshop or something, but nope, sorry, I'm a full grown boring adult now and I'm talking about FOOD SHOPPING. YAS. I just thought I'd let you know that through July I've been taking FULL advantage of the offers supermarkets do on your first online shop! IE £20 off Ocado and £18 off Sainsbury's. Girls gotta do what a girls gotta dooo. So far my <3 has been Ocado - although I'm not sure I could afford to shop there every week without the discount haha. #PleaseSirCanIHaveSomeMore
10. ST TROPEZ SELF TAN EXPRESS MASKS
I've always been a little more than skeptical at the prospect of using face tanners because OH MY GOD IM ORANGE but when I saw that St Tropez had brought one out I decided to give it ago, yano, because I trust them! The sheet mask is a little bit fiddly to apply, but once it's on you don't need to do anything else. You can feel it soothing soon after applying. The best thing about this product is that you are able to choose your "tan level" - simply leave it on for 5 mins for a light tan, 10 mins for a medium tan and 15 minutes for a dark tan. I went for the wimp route the first time and did 5 mins, it left my skin glowing and golden with-out looking fake, however I don't feel like I would need to leave it on any longer as it already gave me good colour then (I am VERY pale bare in mind!). It allowed me to feel more comfortable with less make up on through-out July and I will 100% be picking up some more! Get yours here
What made you happy in July?! Georgie xo

You have had such a lovely month! Our WiFi went down for a good 24 hours last week and I struggled to cope haha, I can't imagine not having it now! I rely on it far too much.
