I Bought A House!

Hey! Finally I can write this post and it feels as though I am lifting a GIANT weight off my shoulders! I'm guessing from the title you may have already got the idea, but I thought I'd go into a little  more detail... I'M A BLEEDIN' HOME OWNER! Huzaaarrr!

So, yes, if you have been wondering why I have been V quiet on the old blog/social media front, I hope now you can understand why! (The worst part is I still don't have WIFI (I hate you Virgin Media) so I am currently having to upload this post in Starbucks... but hey, I have a Caramel Machiato in hand so it could be worse...
So to give you the brief low-down:
I have purchased a new build home on a small plot of 4 houses in my Home town Derby, I put the deposit down on the last house left in January, the houses were almost completed at this point and I was told I'd be in by the end of Feb! So off I went into the lands of DFS, TKMAXX, Next Home, IKEA and ran around like a headless chicken grabbing every marble/rose gold and copper item I can find, naturally.. You get the jist! Anyway fast-forward to the end of May and I still didn't have the keys... but instead I was sat in my childhood bedroom surrounded by boxes and boxes of home things. I honestly could have opened my own IKEA store from home.
I won't bore you with the details of why it was so delayed, but all I will say is that it was VERY stressful and very draining... my life was packed up into boxes, but I had no-where to move it to. ( I know, I know, get out the violins!)
9th June 2017
On the 9th June 2017 (2 days before my holiday - not ideal!) I got the keys to the house. We moved as much as we could over, and I frantically had to ferry through the boxes trying to find my holiday things and passport. Off I went on holidays (10 days of heaven) leaving a V messy house behind... On return I finally had the time to start settling in and turning the house into my home. I've been back for approx 2 weeks now and it's all finally coming together. I have absolutely LOVED picking out furniture and styling my home, and slowly but surely I am falling in love with the out come!

Soooo... get ready for a LOT of interior posts on the blog! I plan on giving you a little mini tour of each room once they are done, and sharing with you some of the bargains I have found a long the way! ​Let me know if there are any other posts you might be interested in to! Here is a lil' sneak peak of one corner of my living room thats *almost* finished! yay!
