There is no better feeling than being SUPER excited about publishing a post - and this, right here, is one of those posts! I feel a lil' bit giddy hovering over the publish button, mainly because I know you are going to be just as excited as me! *side-note if you don't like make-up/beauty and you've accidentally found yourself on my lil' blog, you're probs not going to find this all that exciting!* But hey, if you do, then lemme introduce you to the Balm's new(ish) creation! The Highlite & Con Tour palette! Taaa Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Wanna hear more? Course you do!...

My love affair with this BEAUTY (it is so beautiful isn't it!) started when I was having my usual daily browse on ASOS. Daily being an understatement, more like hourly. But who doesn't love a bit of ASOS!? I was scrolling through the New In Beauty section and OH HEY HUN WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE, you best add me to your basket, because LOOK AT ME. And the rest was history. Anyway, let's get into the nitty/gritty! ...

There are 8 pans in total in the palette, all of which are very good sized, so I think the palette is actually very good value for money. I thought I would give you a break down below of what to expect from each pan, also followed by swatches!
Picture
TOP ROW: The top row of the palette includes 2 shimmer highlighters and 2 matte highlights. I use the shimmer highlights for when I want some SERIOUS GLOW, I'm talking when you want a blinding highlight - the shades are creamy and very pigmented which is exactly what I look for in a highlight for the very tops of my cheek bones and below the brow bone.
The two matte highlights I use for brightening the under eye area, and as a light powder for my face, they are slightly less pigmented than the shimmer, but this means I am able to brighten areas without looking powedery/cakey!
Picture
BOTTOM ROW: The bottom row then consists of 1 Bronzing Shade perfect for adding colour to my cheek bones and around the top of my forehead, it gives a gorgeous sun-kissed look with-out the risk of looking orange. There are then 2 contour shades, one cooler toned, and one warmer, they are easy to blend and when used lightly look really natural and allow you to create shadows on your face where you need them. I use these down the sides of my nose and below my cheek bones. Finally the palette ends with a stunning blush shade, the pink is highly pigmented so you only need a very small amount, however when applied it is the perfect shade to create a natural flush - it blends really well and almost melts into your skin. ** Note - I also use the shade 0dB as a eyeshadow transition colour- this palette really is an all-rounder!

Can you see how you would literally never need another palette in your life again? This one has it ALL. The balm have got it spot on with this product, I love everything from the packaging, the fact there is a large mirror inside, the size of the pans are great, and there is such a good mix of highly pigmented shades! What more could you want!

What are your thoughts on the palette? Are you as in love as me? If you fancy picking one up yourself (I would HIGHLY recommended it!) you can do so HERE for £32.00! Thank me later my LOVES.

Lovely post Georgie! This palette looks amazing! I love how you get a little bit of everything all in one palette rather than buying them all separately. I haven't tried anything from them, but all I hear are such good things, I really like the eye shadow palette you shared on your snap chat a while ago too! xx

This looks so dreamy, i absolutely love Mary Loumaniser so this would be a great to try out other highlighters by The Balm. The amount of product is really good for the price too! x

It's nice to see some cooler tones for contour. Many of the contour kits I see have really warm orangey tones.

This palette looks really nice but it also looks a bit too dark for me - especially the contour/bronzer section! 0db looks a little too much for me! :)
