Ironically I have been meaning to write this post for a while, which I guess means I am slightly contradicting myself here, maybe I'm not the best person to give tips on this! But now I am (kind of) back in the swing of things, I thought I'd write a lil' post about how I've found coming back to blogging after taking a rather longer than expected break from it, and what I'd recommend doing if you're in the same position as me! Plus it has given me the chance to show of the photos of my GORGEOUS Daniel Wellington watch which I am a little bit obsessed with right now - they have a new collection don't you know! Come see more <3
Get the boring stuff done
If you're a blogger, you probably blog because you're passionate about what you write about, and because you enjoy doing it. You probably don't do it because you L O V E wading through hundreds of e-mails, spend half your life chasing invoices or because you enjoy sorting though 300 pictures of the same product to find the "perfect one". But unfortunately - that comes with the job! Be sure before you jump back in to posting, catch up on the behinds the scenes first! Clear your inbox, and start with a fresh mind-set, and save your head space for content creating!
Don't jump in feet first
I thought it would be so easy to jump right back in where I left off.. NOPE! Before my impromptu break I was posting pretty religiously every day from Monday - Friday every week! (5 posts per week). To assume I could go for not posting for weeks straight back to that was silly! So at first I started just posting as and when I wanted to, until now where I am slowly building my schedule back up. If I would have tried to jump straight back in, I would have not only ended up V STRESSED - I would have also resulted in rushing content and posting things I wouldn't be 100% happy with.
Don't put pressure on yourself
You're followers will be an understanding bunch of loves, we are all friends here, and if it takes you longer than expected, I'm sure they won't mind! People would rather wait for you to be back on track and "In the zone" than reading content you have rushed and posted just to "keep on schedule".
Plan, Plan, Plan ahead!
Rather than seeing your break as a negative, see it as a positive, fresh start! And before coming back, why not sit down with a piece of paper and a pen and jot down some ideas of what you want to do with your content! Some of my best ideas have come from a having a little brain dump onto a piece of scrap paper, and still today it's my favourite way to plan things!

So glad to see you back Georgie! I find it so hard sometimes to get back into the swing of things when I have a little break. But I always miss blogging so much when I take a break from it! I'm totally in awe of any of you who can post pretty much every day. I used to only post once a week and realised I needed to up my game. I've been doing quite well recently at aiming for twice a week and might try to post a little more if I can x
