The October Glossybox has been created in collaboration with the fabulous Lifestyle & Beauty Vlogger Estee Lalonde. Therefore I was really excited to see her picks and have a look around this months box! It's great to see the influence bloggers have in the beauty world at the moment including HUGE campaigns with L'oreal, Schwarzkopf and now beauty boxes, Come and see what beauty picks Estee chose for the October Box:
New Beauty Shampoo - Secret Hair Product
This was a strange one from Glossybox - we had a "Mystery" hair care product - that had been unbranded so we weren't to know what it was. The idea was to try the product and see what we thought before having any preconceptions because of the brand. I went ahead and gave it ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It doesn't smell/feel particularly expensive/luxury but my hair felt soft and really, really clean and fresh after use.
It has now been announced that the product was from Head & Shoulders - a brand I have used before and I do think the ranges and good quality and do exactly what they say! The Body Shop - Drops of youth concentrate RRP: £25.00
The concentrated formula, which you'll be pleased to know has been certified as organic has been a huge success for The Body Shop. The formula is perfect for skin showing the first signs of ageing and it softens, brightens and smooths your skin. I haven't noticed any dramatic effects as I've only been using it for a week but it feels lovely on the skin and my skin feels so soft after use.
Bee Good - Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator RRP: £10.50
This has to be my favourite thing in this months box - I can't get enough of the stuff! This really is a 3-in-1 wonder product that I know I am going to be purchasing again and again and again. It is designed to exfoliate, calm and hydrate your skin. The ingredients include Lavender, Wheatgerm oil and British Propolis which work together to give a effective yet gentle effect. I am loving how my skin feels after using it and I can't wait to keep seeing results!
PS Pro HD Mascara Black RRP: £3.00
To be honest I haven't got around to trying any of Primarks make-up range yet, I have used a few of the make up brushes before and been pleasantly surprised. I wasn't immediately drawn to the packaging, but the applicator looked promising. The rubber applicator meant that it really does grab on to every single one of your lashes and separates and lengthens them, it also doesn't leave any clumps. I like it, but I don't love it!
Trifle Cosmetics - Lip Parfait - Buttery Lip Cream RRP: £12.95
Unfortunately this product was damaged when it arrived and the lipstick had snapped off, so I didn't get to try out this one! However the packaging was pretty and the colour of the lipstick looked nice to!
Universal Beauty Cosmetics: Secret Flush RRP: £ 15.00
Having never really been a fan of lip/cheek stains, I didn't really give this much thought. That is, until I swatched it on my hand! This product is nothing like other stains I have tried, its creamy, so pigmented yet still so, so blendable. Honestly, I probably wouldn't wear this on my lips - but on the apples of your cheeks, its perfect. It add a pop of colour whilst still looking natural. I have officially been converted to a cream blusher!
