I always LOVE curating my monthly favourites together, It’s nice to look back over the month and see just how many new things I have been using and how every month they just seem to be getting better and better. I’m guessing this will be my last summery themed favourites for 2016, this months Including Fitflops, a face tanner, a detox tea & more – whereas I will soon be heading into Scarves, Boots, Lip balms & Autumnal colours, which I can’t deny I am secretly excited for! Premier Estates WineI recently attended an event with Spectrum Collections for their new make-up brush launch. At the event Premier Estates supplied to bubbly that was flowing all night long. After the event they kindly asked if I would like to sample any of their wines, and after a lot of persuasion (just kidding, I jumped at the chance) I chose the Prosecco and the South Africa Chenin Blanc to put to the test. After a glass (or 3), I was sold on both, especially the Chenin Blanc. It was like nothing I had ever tasted before, it’s fresh and fruity with a crisp finish. I loved it ice cold. The triple award winning Prosecco also went down an absolute treat, I just can’t resist some bubbles! As pleased as I already was with both bottles, I then saw the prices! They are SO affordable, but the packaging doesn’t compromise at all. In fact they were both nicer than a lot of more expensive ones I have tried. You can check out the full range on Premier Estates Red, White, Rose and sparkling wine here. FitFlopWith-out sounding like an old fart, I can't deny that when It comes to footwear I was beginning to lose my style, I started choosing comfort over fashion and to be honest, found myself starting to look a bit drab. I could never find footwear that were stylish and yet I could walk around in them all day with ease! Why is it so hard to create something comfy yet not offensive to look at?! I had heard of FitFlops a few times, but had always just thought they only really sold Flip Flops for beachwear/poolside. However I was to be proved really wrong! There are pages and pages of different styles, colours, materials meaning there are literally pairs for everyone. I looked into the technology behind the comfort in the shoes, (you can read more about that here and see how differently your foot sits in a FitFlop shoe compared to a standard shoe) and how they have been able to achieve what was before impossible, stylish yet SUPER comfortable shoes, in fact I can honestly say THE most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I went for the Sandal/Slider style shoe in black leather called Aix Leather Slide Sandals for my review, which retail at £90.00. The two crossed straps design really support your foot allowing you to feel secure, but without anything have to be tied around your ankles, allowing your feet to breathe. The uppers are soft leather and so is the lining, meaning they are second to none in quality and longevity. As well as every day use, they would still be perfect for holidays as they have a slip ressistant rubber outsole meaning you can wear them around the pool without the worry of maybe taking an accidental dip! I can't wait until my next event in London, so I can walk around all day with the confidence I won't come back hobbling and I can walk around in comfort alllllllllll day long! If you are going to do one thing this month, please do try on a pair of FitFlops so you can feel the instant comfort! You'll never look back I promise! Check out the full ranges HERE or shop my pair HERE. The Body Shop: Down To Earth Eye PalettesYou should all know by now that I am a BIG fan of eye-shadows, I blend, blend, blend all day everyday creating different looks (usually nudes - I need to get out more!) and trying out different palettes and formulas. The newly launched down to earth palettes from The Body Shop have been an absolute favorite of mine this month, with my using them almost every single day. The array of neutral and smokey shades means that I am able to create day to night looks with ease. There are mixes of matte and shimmery shades meaning the palettes are super versatile. The pigmentation of the colours are fabulous for everyday wear then by adding a light spray of water to your brushes you can take the shades to another level of pigmented! The final thing that makes these palettes untouchable, (that's if you really needed anymore convincing), is that you can pop out and move around the shadows between the different palettes, this is perfect for me when travelling as it essentially means you can create your own personalised palette. You can pick up the 8 shade palette HERE or the 5 different quad palettes HERE. #EYEOVER 100% VEGAN MADAME LA LA TANThis popular well talked about tan is something I'd been hearing lots about over the past few months, used by Gigi Hadid and Oliver Palermo I HAD to give it a try. Using shade "light" (I am as pale as pale can be) the mousse formula is super easy to apply and easy to blend. Leaving a guide colour on your skin means it is virtually impossible to miss any bits, and you can ensure your tan is going to look perfectly even before it has even began to develop. The fast drying formula means you can get dressed within 5 minutes of applying and with ingredients such as Aloe, Green Tea and Vitamin E it means it leaves your skin soothed and hydrated. perfect for sensitive skin like mine. The colour was simply perfect for me, leaving me with a medium coloured, natural looking tan. It develops steak free and left my skin with a natural healthy glow. I found the tan lasted around 3 days before I would then exfoliate and re apply. This has been the tan I have found myself reaching for throughout August & I can't imagine that changing anytime soon! Roll on my winter TAN! You can pick yourself up a bottle online HERE or in Urban Outfitters Oxford Street. Teami Tea: 30 day detoxSo as I write this I am now around 23 days Into my 30 day detox with Teami Tea, and I thought I would check in with you guys and let you know how I am getting on. As you have probably guessed by the fact I have included it in my August FAVOURITES you may have picked up on the fact it is going pretty well! So I have been having the Detox tea every single morning, which for saying I am someone who isn’t actually a huge fan of tea, I actually now look forward to it everyday. It doesn’t taste of anything in particular, and it isn’t at all offensive, it just tastes a bit like green tea I guess. I then have my night time cleanse tea every other night. I tend to drink a large glass of water before drinking my cleanse tea at night to make it more of a gentle effect on my tummy! Since starting the cleanse I can honestly say that I 100% feel less bloated, my stomach looks and feels flatter and I just seem to have more energy about me. I must add that alongside drinking the teas I have been trying to eat a bit healthier and moving more to help get even better results. I can't wait to continue with my tea-tox and see how much better I can feel! The teami blends are all 100% natural and completely safe to use. Also if you are doing your cleanse in hot weather and don't fancy drinking a hot drink everyday, you can always add ice and drink you tea cold - so long as you have steeped it in hot water first! You can check out all the different ranges and products from Teami HERE feel free to drop my any questions you might have about the cleanse and I will be sure to answer the best I can! Urban Decay - Moondust PaletteMe and my LOVELY blogger bestie Kirby, spent the day In London together not to long ago after attending the Crabtree & Evelyn event at the Ritz (who can turn down an even at the Ritz!?). On a bit of a beauty hunt we popped into the Urban Decay store at Covent Garden, and talk about right place, right time -They were holding an event within the hour including a demonstration of the new Moondust palette that hadn't launched around the UK yet. So we put our names straight on the list and headed downstairs to the makeup demo room. We sat in awe of the stunning colours in the palette, most of which I would normally shy away from, being a boring NUDE kinda gal. But after watching the makeup artist use the shades, I litterally fell in LOVE! Maybe it was about time I tried something a bit more OUT THERE. Anyway after long consideration (just kidding, I decided there and then, how can I turn down a palette that hasn't even been launched yet!?) I picked on up. I am SO glad I did because this palette alone has MADE me try and be more adventurous with my makeup, and on the weekends, I have actually been going a little more colourful. The pigmentation of the shades are second to none, they are iridescent so I find they look different colours depending on which angle you look at them, this makes them even more appealing to me as they are SO versatile. I cannot recommend this beautiful palette enough, Please, please, please give it a try! Get yours HERE for £35.00 Benefit Goof Proof Brow PencilAfter the long awaited launch of the Benefit Brow collection there were hundreds upon hundreds of blog posts full of reviews about the different brow saviours, which worked best, which not so well and swatch’s of the different shades. I spent hours reading through the different ones and deciding which ones I NEEDED In my make-up bag. Then Glamour Magazine came to the rescue and provided us with some sample sized freebies to try before we buy! I picked up the Goof Proof Brow pencil and also the Gimme Brow Gel. I instantly fell IN LOVE with the Goof Proof Pencil, the shape of it makes it SO easily to use and I am able to do my brows in half the time compared to usual. It has a creamy consistency that looks natural and yet holds all day long. The shade 2 is perfect for me, an ashy dark blonde shade which matches my natural brows to perfection. I also always find the double ended products so much handier as you aren’t having to carry your brow pencil and a spooly. I don't see myself every going back to another brow product, the Goof Proof has GOT ME HOOKED! Get yours from ASOS HERE James Read - Sculpting Duo & H20 Tan MistThis unique sculpting duo from James Read has taken over my makeup game this month. The innovative product includes a beautiful golden high light alongside a mineral bronzing powder both of which I have fallen head over heels for! The bronzer not only allows me to create some contour around my face, sculpting it out, it also allows me to add some warmth to my face, which my poor pale skin really does need! Alongside this, would you believe the bronzer, when used daily, gently builds up a subtle contoured look on your skin, which slightly deepens within 3-5 days! Clever Huh! Leaving me with perfectly chiseled cheek bones, I could only dream of! I use the high light in the usual spots, along the top of my cheek bones (the newly perfected ones!) for a gorgeous glow, under my eye brows to create more definition and also done the center of my nose, to create that slim nose appearance. Simple! I love how they both come together in one palette, meaning they are oh so easy to travel with, and the handy brush comes in the perfect shape to chisel out your face, and highlight those assets! This product now holds a firm place in my ever growing make up bag! I love it. Get your Sculpting Duo palette HERE for £35.00. The lovely team also sent me across a H20 tan mist to test out - to be honest I was a little unsure at first as to what it was, but after a bit of reading I got there! This simple, super product goes under my makeup with a few sprays, and over time gradually develops a light, even tan for me! As simple as that! The best part is It is infused with beautifying minerals, and has a cooling effect so it is so pleasant to use and really does leave me with a healthy looking glow on my face.
