Ello! Happy FRIYAY! The best thing EVER happened and I got the WIFI finally installed at my new house! Hallelujah!! Expect a lot more content from me, woo! I thought I'd start a series: My First Home: Diary's. So I can share some posts on my experiences of buying my first home, what it's really like and things to expect! I thought I'd start it off with a light hearted post with 10 funny things I have learnt since moving out! I hope you enjoy! xo
1. BUTTER
Butter goes out of date a lot quicker than I thought.. Here's me doing my first adult shop and thinking ooh I'll get a BIG tub of Lurpack, then it will last for AGES and I won't need to buy it again for a while. NOPE. It goes out of date pretty quick and now I have a GIANT butter tub & about 1 day to eat it. Butter Cream anyone!?
2. CALLING MUM
You can't call your mum to double check that you have in fact turned your straighteners off, and you did blow that candle out. The paranoia is REAL. I've had to drive back to my house after pulling out of my road over FIVE times this month because self doubt is a real PROBLEM.
3. LOO ROLL
Loo roll is so BLEEDIN expensive - don't take that quilted goodness for granted my loves...
4. GOOGLE SEARCH
Your google search history will be pretty comical. "How to defrost food" "How to get brown /dead patches out of your grass" "What to use instead of grease proof paper" "Can you put light grey clothes in with the white wash" "Will the bin men empty your bin if it's overflowing" "How to keep house plants alive". I'll leave that there.
5. BILLS BILLS BILLS
So MANY Bill's Bill's Bill's Bill's </3 They just keep coming and coming. I no longer look forward to the post man arriving!
6. GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE
It takes so much longer to get out of the house in the morning. You've got to check everything is switched off, do a quick tidy, empty the dishwasher, and actually alarm the house. Yano rather than doing what you used to do, which was roll out of bed and some how make it to your car whilst still half asleep.
7. DISHWASHERS
Dishwashers are my favourite invention and I don't think I could live with out mine <3 <3 <3
8. BINS
Putting the bins out is gross, and you also have to remember to do it every week. So there is that. * side note: its even worse when it's raining, one week I actually contemplated not putting it out the idea of walking out in the rain dragging a bin was that bad. Get the violins out.
9. ALDI
ALDI becomes your best friend. Because you can buy a TROLLEY full of food for the week, for approximately the same price you'd pay for a sandwich and some essentials from Waitrose.
10. FRIENDS
Having friends round is really fun until you remember you're the one who has to clean up. Not so fun.
Can you relate to any of the points above!? I hope so! I hope you enjoyed this post and you are looking forward to more in my "My First Home" series! Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like me to write about. Georgie xo

I LOVE this! But I now have the issue of having my own little sprog in the nest, and I swear children are TORNADOS. He goes away for a week and its like I have a different house! It gives a good insight to what life was life for our mums and how much they did! I HATE taking the bin out, I hate mopping. It makes me want to move home lol

YES YES YES to all of the above 😂 I found a slug on my bin when I went to take it out last week and had a mild panic attack, had a melt down about bills yesterday and am having a full blown love affair with Aldi! Loved this post hun, can't wait to read more of this series.
