If you have been following my blog for a while you would have probably seen previous posts from me about showcasing and supporting smaller businesses, for example my Etsy Favourites post here. What I have found from buying from a smaller company is that you not only do you always get a more personal customer service experience, good value for money, and packages sent with care and attention, On top of all this, you know that every single order little or large is appreciated, and helping someone achieve their dream of owning their own brand. I have put together an updated post below with the pieces I am loving from "home grown" brands, who create wonderfully unique products at great prices, including a company local to where I live, which is where we will start...
Solesmith
Solesmith are a local brand to me, specialising in the overlooked accessory: SOCKS! They kindly sent me a pair of personalised socks to feature in this post, which you can see in the images above and below! Everyone I have shown them to can't help but say "Awww!" when they see them! Who would have thought you could get that reaction to a pair of socks!? I chose the Otter Design with mine and Richards name on - adorable!. I love how although they're personalised, the design is simple with the majority being plain black so they are still super wearable. Of course I had to choose the ones with the Rose Gold/Copper print because it's me choosing afterall and my I can't see my rose gold obsession ever coming to an end! The quality is second to none, plus they are really soft - again meaning although novelty you can get a lot of wear out of them. They have so many designs to choose from, my otter ones are here, but I also think the giraffe pair and theflamingo pair are amazing! They would make the perfect gift for any occasion, or maybe you could even treat yourself! Check out the full website here, if you order before 12pm they offer Free Next Day Delivery! Bonus!
Here are some other smaller businesses featured on Etsy which I love! If you haven't shopped on Etsy before it's almost like a department store for home made businesses! I have found many treasures on here. Here are the pieces and shops currently on my wish list! Click any of the items to shop them!

I like trying to shop with smaller companies too, I find you often get a much more personal service, and they can often customize or even create a one-off item for you.
