Doubletree By Hilton Leeds.

I am lucky enough to get almost 2 weeks off work at Christmas due to our company shutting down and even more lucky that my boyfriend gets exactly the same, which means we have lots of time to chill, eat, drink & all the usual festive activities, but it also means we have the time to go on a little adventure somewhere. One of our favourite things to do is go away for mini city breaks in England, and we have built up a little list of hotels and city we find ourselves returning to time & time again. 
Here is one of them - Doubletree By Hilton Leeds. 

The Doubletree by Hilton Leeds is definitely in our top 5 favourite hotels to visit in the UK, so we decided to make another return trip here for a nice after Christmas get-away. 
We love this hotel for many reasons, one being that it is walking distance to the shops, bars & restaurants which is always a bonus. 
We also love the rooms themselves, they're spacious, light, modern & have great views if you get a high floor. They also all have a MAC computer in as standard which you are free to use as you  like. This time we treated ourself to a Junior Suite which meant the room was bigger and even more luxurious than usual. We also got a few extras such as a Nespresso Coffee Machine, Fluffy robes & luxurious toiletries.
The staff are always so lovely at the Doubletree & each guest is greeted at reception with a warm, gooey centred cookie! (you’re starting to see more & more why I like it now right!?)


But our main reasons for choosing this hotel again & again when visiting Leeds is the stunning top-floor bar the Sky Lounge, firstly the views of the city as you can see from my photographs are absolutely  gorgeous! The cocktail list is extensive & the atmosphere is always fun & energised. It’s great to be able to walk out of the comfort of your hotel room straight in a lift up to this amazing bar! It's a great way to start or finish an evening.

EATING:
This trip we ate a gorgeous grill/steakhouse - Blackhouse - the grill on the square. We had amazing steaks with hand cut chips. The cocktails were amazing, I had an eaton mess one which had real pieces of eaton mess on top. The staff were all very helpful & friendly.
