The Beautiful July Birchbox has been designed in Collaboration with the lovely influencer Millie Mackintosh. The never ending summer box, has been one my favourites so far purely for the stunning packaging. I had so much fun photographing it, as I thought the colours work so perfectly together. The months box features products from well known brands such as Caudalie, Nails INC & John Freda, along with a Birchbox own LOC product & also a face mask from Hydraluron. Here is what I thought of the box, and of course the products inside!
Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water: RRP £15.00 (200m Full Sized)
I have already been using the full sized version of this for a while now, (and loving it) so I was so happy to see this more travel sized version in this months box. This gentle cleansing water removes makeup with ease and leaves your skin feeling super soft. I suffer with sensitive eyes, yet I find this product is fine for using around the eye area without causing any irritation. My favourite thing about this product is how it leaves my skin feeling refreshed like no other Micellar water I’ve ever used, It calms my skin making a great awakening product for mornings and also great for soothing your skin in the evening before hitting the pillow.
LOC Lip Colour Gloss Stick in Bohemian Rose RRP £9.00
Millies very own colour, this beautifully light, yet noticeable shade is a perfect fresh faced, summer hue leaving you with a touch of pink on your lips. The glossy formula looks great and feels so comfortable to wear, perfect for everyday summer use. The product is long lasting and the light formula leaves your lips feeling moisturised and soft. I am excited to add this shade to my growing collection of LOC lip products, and this shade will be in my everyday bag for the due course of summer.
Nails INC London Nail Varnish RRP £11.00
I have to admit when I first saw the brown toned shade in my box, I didn’t really care for it to much. I had never really considered brown nails. However I decided to not dismiss it immediately & did a bit of research. After scrolling “brown nail varnish” on Pinterest, I realised that maybe I was jumping to conclusions to quickly & actually brown nails can look fab! I think if I was heading to a festival and attempting the boohoo style look they would be perfect. I testing the varnish on my thumb to swatch the shade & I have to admit although the colour isn’t majorly my cup of tea, the formula is insane! It dried so evenly & didn’t budge! I will be looking into picking up some other Nails Inc Shades.
Frizz-Ease: Anti Frizz Primer RRP £9.99
Since doing what a lot of do in our teens & deciding to bleach my hair, I am still battling to get it to that perfectly healthy condition we all dream about. Due to struggling with dry hair I notice that when it’s a bit humid, or when I’ve not had time to put the straighteners through it, my hair can descend into a frizz ball (quickly). This primer instantly smooths my hair leaving it looking healthier than ever. I also love how it doesn’t weigh my hair down which I always seem to find with any serums I use. I can’t wait to continue using it, and hopefully continue seeing such wonderful results!
Indeed Labs: Hydraluron Face Mask RRP £19.99 (4 masks)
This hyaluronic acid formula mask is designed to provide 24 hours of maximum hydration to your skin. The simple no-mess sheet mask slips so easily into my routine, and is one of the best fitting sheet masks I have ever used. (Obviously this will be different for everyone). My skin was left feeling so plump & glowing. I instantly feel addicted to these masks & at my next opportunity I will be picking up some more! Long gone are the days of the messy, sticky face masks which end up all over the bathroom rather than your face, to be replaced by this simple fix that can fit into everyone’s lives! To use you simply have to place the mask on, leave for 15 minutes and then afterwards gently massage any excess product into the skin. No need to rinse! Simples!
