Birchbox - January 2016.

A first look at my new beauty venture! The Birchbox! I am in heaven.

I'm hoping 2016 is going to be full of new exciting things, and here is one of the first to kick it off! I've started receiving the monthly Birchbox Subscription  and I'm SUPER happy about it. 
I love beauty boxes because I think they are so much fun. It literally feels like Christmas morning once a month, waiting to see what goodies you'll get!

My first impression of the Birchbox was a very good one, I was immediately very impressed with the packaging, design & cute little notecards they placed in the box. Adding to this I was also extremely impressed with quantity of products and also the variety of brands inside, a few of which I was already aware of & love. And a few which were new to me & I couldn't wait to try!

So here is what the box contained & what I thought if each product! 

1. Caudalie - Fleur De Vigne Shower Gel 
I already love the Caudalie brand so when I spotted it in the Birchbox I was so so happy. This Gentle shower gel is amazing for sensitive skin, which is great for me & it has the most calming, relaxing scent of white rose, rose pepper & grape blossom which is great when you want to wash the day away.

2. Eyeko - Fat Liquid Eyeliner in Black
At a first glimpse of this product I was a little skeptical, I thought it would be really hard to apply with having such a thick applicator. However I couldn't have been more wrong, the applicator allows you to create the perfect effortless clean black line, but also if you apply more pressure you can create a thicker/bolder look. I love this product.

3. Parlor - Moisturising & Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner
Parlor is a new brand to me so I was looking forward to testing it out.
"The Hair Hydrators" exactly what my hair needs 24/7! Firstly I must start by saying they smell UH-MAZING. It says it is the brands signature scent of Ripe Peach & Freshly Cut Grass, and I must say that I'm sold on that! After using this for two washes I can honestly say that my hair feels thicker, and looks less dry.  I will definitely look into getting the full size of these products to see if the longterm effects continue. All in all very happy.

4. Absolution - L'eau Soir Et Matin
I am a little cleanser collector & I am obsessed with trying new ones. This is another brand I hadn't heard of before, but the packaging looks very luxurious & I was excited to find out more. It smells so refreshing & when applied to your face is feels so soothing, perfect for when your taking your make up off at night. It took all my make up off very easily, it struggled a little bit with my mascara, but I'm not surprised but I have to spend about 5 hours a night trying to remove Benefits They're Real Mascara. (It's worth it though, isn't it?)

5. Benefit - They're Real! Tinted Primer,
Just as I thought I couldn't love my Benefit Mascara anymore, they make a matching primer! YAY! I didn't think it was possible to find something that made my eyelashes even better than the They're Real! Mascara, but adding this primer underneath has made them even longer & thicker, Wahoo. This product will 100% now be a staple in my makeup bag.
HINT: Also great to wear on its own, for if you're going to the gym but want to look "au natural".
