As you *probably* know by now, I LOVE myself a gift guide! So I was VERY excited when The White Company got in touch to see if I wanted to feature some fabulous products in a post for Mother's Day! I find my mum super hard to buy for, she doesn't want chocolate, bath stuff or perfume, and I always find myself panicking about getting the perfect Mother's Day Gift. After browsing The White Company for a good few *hours* (oops) I realised I was spoilt for choice and there were endless things I could have picked up for her! I have narrowed down my top picks into this post for you! So here it is... My Mothers Day Gift Guide 2018. Enjoy!

I have always been really picky with my choices of greeting cards, I like them to be simple, pretty but also meaningful. As soon as I spotted this one from TWC, I knew I'd hit the jackpot. It's minimal and crisp, but gets the message across perfectly.

I'd never really thought about Cashmere Socks before these BEAUTY'S arrived. Sorry mum but I might have to keep these for myself; if you didn't already know you NEED them in your life. Need. (maybe you'll have to buy 2 pairs because I think you're Mum deserves a pair too! ​

I know candles might be the obvious choice, but there really is no denying that they make the perfect gift! The Spa range from The White Company have some fabulous picks, and the packaging is divine. They look and feel very luxurious.Pick one up here.

Whenever I travel I always end up taking about 3 different wash bags because I can never find one big enough! In comes this beautiful Leather Grey Wash bag which not only fits EVERYTHING Hair care, Beauty & Toiletries, it also looks the part! I wouldn't even want to put it inside my suitcase, I'd like to carry it like a handbag! If you've got a mum who loves to travel, or just loves beauty I feel likethis would make the perfect gift! 

Room Sprays & Pillow sprays make the perfect gift, particularly for Mother's Day. They are super relaxing, calming and everything else a Mum needs wrapped up in a pretty bottle. My two favourites are the Lavender Pillow Mist and the Linen Spray - you can make your home smell like an at home spa, with just a few spritzs! ​

The Cosiest Slippers - because is it even Mother's Day with-out cosy slippers!?

I'm not sure why, but I feel a bit nervous, writing this post. It's been over a month since I did my last blog post, which isn't too long in the grand scheme of things, but it's decent amount of time, yano! My 2018 goal for my blog is for me to focus on quality not quantity and I want to ensure the posts I am putting out there, are the posts that I truly love writing. 

 I had a look back  through my 2017 content, and ensured that I picked out posts that sparked joy with me. My 10 things I loved each month posts, really stuck out to me. I love that it is like a mini ​overview of each month, and snippets of things I enjoyed that month, that I can look back on. So, as you have probably already guessed from the title, this is a  series that I would like to continue into 2018! I hope you're pleased with that too, ha! Here is my first "10 things that made me happy" of the year! 

One: Richard and I's 5 year anniversary.
​Our anniversary falls on the 9th Jan, not the most ideal time, as you can imagine, money is always pretty tight after Christmas. This year we decided to keep it really low-key, but it actually worked out better. We had some Gin & Tonic's and together we cooked a lovely meal. We even set the table up cute: see below. Rich got me some beautiful flowers.

Two: Tom Dixon
You might have heard of the designer Tom Dixon, they does beautiful interior accessories and it's safe to say I'm totally OBSESSED. Lots of metallics (Golds). I just wish his designs were a little easier on my bank balance. At the moment I have a candle, diffuser (pictured in the top photo of this blog post) and a hand wash, but my wish list is much longer! You can see the designs here.

Three: Audiable
I feel like every man and  his dog has been listening to Audio books this month, but I'd be lying if I didn't include this in my post! I downloaded the Audiable app and listened to my first book "you do you" by Sarah Knight, It's a motivational, funny and easy to listen to book, and I love that I had some light hearted entertainment whilst I was cleaning the house, or listening in my car on the way to work!

Four: A Weekend In Leeds
At the start of Jan we headed for a weekend in Leeds. Once again staying at one of my fave hotels, the Doubletree by Hilton. We drank cocktails at the alchemist (the ones with the cool icey mist) and did an escape room which was hilarious! 

Five: SODA STREAM
If you know me well, then you'll know my favourite drink is Elderflower Coridal and Soda (and lots of ice!!). Because of this, we go through SO many bottles of soda in my house, like an embarrassing amount! Not only do I feel bad on the environment doing this because I use so many plastic bottles, but it also adds up! Soooo.... Drumroll.... Please welcome SODA STREAM! This has to be my favourite find of the month and I've been using it NON stop. All it takes is some tap water, and 10 seconds of your time, and ta daaa you have soda water! If you are a soda drinker, it's a life changer, trust me! I also like that the machine itself is aesthetically pleasing and is fairly small so doesn't take up much room on the counter! Six: Taking down the Christmas Decs
To be honest I am VERY surprised I am writing this one, because in all honestly I was almost crying at the thought of taking my decorations down. But to be honest when we actually did it (5thJan I think it was!) I really liked it! We gave the house a really good clean and everything was nice and fresh!

Seven: Sunday Roasts
I think I've managed a Sunday roast every weekend in January, and I'm seriously not complaining. In fact I don't why they're limited to Sunday's in my house... I want them every night. It's all gravy baby.

Eight: Calligraphy Course!
On the 31st Jan I did a Calligraphy Workshop in a little cafe near where I live. It was such a lovely evening, and I have fallen totally in love with calligraphy! It's harder than it looks let me tell you! Maybe once I've practised a few more times, I will share some of my "designs" ha!

Nine: Instagram Story's!
Another FAVE that I can't believe I am writing. Guys I know I am months behind, but I have finally love my love of Snapchat (no one posts on there anymore, so I didn't really have a choice!) I love watching peoples Insta Storys! Probably my favourites being Carrie from @wishwishwish, but I can't imagine how many hours hers must take her! They're beautiful! Who are your faves to watch?

Ten: Foxdenton - Matha's Marvellous Jumping Juice
This DIVINE drink is what we have been drinking in my household through-out Christmas and obviously finishing the reminders in January (Dry Jan Who!?). it is a mix of Foxdenton's Plum Gin, London Dry 48% and a mix of spices redolent of spiced poached apples and pears. I always get VERY Excited to see the different beauty sets that come out at Christmas; they are often my favourite of the year! The packaging seems to get better and better, and so do the products! Beauty sets are always top of my Christmas wish list, and so I also love giving them as gifts to! I thought I'd put  together a little beauty gift guide; hopefully with something for everyone! I hope you like it.

Who doesn't love a pampering gift at Christmas! I think I might have found the perfect set; the Caudalie Luxury Vine Body Set. It comes in a beautifully packaged festive box and includes 2 luxurious goodies. The whole set costs £21 which I think is such good value for money, especially as one of the items included retails at £21 alone! I love to give people gifts which they don't often tend to treat themselves to. I think this is a perfect example; a gorgeous hair care gift set!
​Percy and Reed are one of my favourite hair brands; so I was very excited when I saw they are doing a range of gift sets this Christmas. Christmas gives you the perfect excuse to stock up on ALL THE KNITWEAR; I repeat ALL THE KNITWEAR. As well as treating yourself, I also think knitwear can be the perfect gift to give at Christmas! Georgia Pink Hoodie - The quality is second to none, and possibly the cosiest thing I have ever worn in my life! It's created in soft fleece back sweat shirting and it also comes in soft grey.

What's better than giving people gift's you know they're going to LOVE at Christmas? Giving people gifts that they love, and that smell amazing to! That's the answer. I thought I'd put together 4 of my favourite scented gifts, which I know you loved ones will adore this Christmas! (or you might fancy some for yourself!). If only there was smellivision...

For Him - Bentley Momentum - A scent approved by my boyfriend, who I think it hoping he will find this under the tree and also approved by me, as I would love him to wear this scent! The Bentley Momentum fragrance feels luxurious, and powerful. It has top notes of bergamot, green violet and clary sage. There is something that gives it almost a woody feel as well, which I love. It's perfect all year round, however I feel it will work especially well in winter. You can pick one up here.

For Her - Lalique - Reve d'infini - The first thing to point out about this stunning fragrance is the beautiful packaging it comes in the dusky pink against the rose gold accents looks so pretty and elegant. I can safely say that anyone would love to have this bottle sitting on their dressing table - what a beautiful gift. The scent has been perfectly described as "A sensual fragrance, a bouquet of fresh flowers, softened by peach". it's a wearable fragrance that although feels slightly summery, can be worn all year round. I think that pillow sprays are the perfect gift solution for almost everyone in your life! Even my Dad would like this! I've been using Pillow Sprays constantly for the last year or so now and it's just something that I do every night with-out even thinking about it; Much like brushing my teeth - it's part of my routine. 
REN have recently brought out their own pillow spray, a blend of essential oils which help with your natural sleep balance. It smells relaxing and isn't too overpowering, just a few spray's is enough. Molton Brown have always been one of my favourite bath & beauty brands - every product I have tried always feels so luxurious and special, and the products I am about to mention follow suit. First up the Molton Brown Crackers; which let's face it, I wouldn't mind pulling one of these round the table on Christmas Day! I'd much prefer to receive some MB goodies, rather than the usual mini golf tee or tweezers! Inside the beautiful wrapped cracker you get a selection of mini Molton Brown Treats including Body Wash and Shower Gel. Next up we have the Festive Shower Gel Bauble - these are the cutest things I've ever seen, and such a quirky idea. They could be perfect for a Secret Santa present! At £10.00 each they can first of all be used as an actual bauble on the tree, followed by using the divinely scented shower gel inside - such a treat! I particularly love the Oudh Accord & Gold  gel (pictured) because of the stunning gold flecks inside the gel - imagine how pretty that would look on the tree!  Each bauble comes in a beautiful red box, giving that extra touch of luxuriousness. 

It was a tough job, a very tough job, but I finally managed to narrow down my Christmas Scent of 2017! Introducing NOEL by Crabtree & Evelyn; the only way I can possibly describe this, is "Christmas wrapped into a beautiful gold and red packaged bottle."
The scent has notes of mulled spice, citrus zest and fir tree branches - all the things that make Christmas! Everyone who has visited me since I've had this has commented on how nice my living room smells! So. not only does this diffuser look absolutely stunning in my home, it fills the room with the perfect festive scent! I simply couldn't give this one away as a gift, so I would strongly recommend ordering 2 if you plan on gifting, and go with the "one for me, one for you" technique! Get yours here.

I would say I am a little more than obsessed with home wear shopping, I could spend hours on hours trolling through home-wear sites, Pinterest and getting all the inspiration! My most recent, and current favourite website to browse on has been Amara. They stock SO many brands which I love, and so many designs I have fallen for! When they approached me to pick a few things to work on this post with, I jumped at the chance! So here we have a few of my top picks; followed by my Amara Wish List/Gift Guide! One of my all time favourite Home-wear designers, Tom Dixon, which Amara happen to stock a lot of! (here). I picked up the Candle and Handwash set - which to be honest I never ever want to use because they are simply too beautiful! This would make the PERFECT gift.

I'm thinking of filling this with some mini pine-cones and winter foliage for now; but I am already longing for summer when I can trim down some flowers and display them in here. So cute! (It comes in more sizes to)

Greys and golds are prominent in my home; and so when I spotted these I couldn't resist. They look elegant, classy and they are superb quality! The gold rim adds a touch of festive sparkle to!

I'd say December is probably my favourite month of the year! I am ALL about Christmas, and I love nothing more than feeling festive, everywhere just looks so magical, and so I am VERY excited for December. I feel like although everyone says it, I have blinked and this year has GONE, so I am determined to make the most of the last month, and have lots of fun along the way!

Buy & Decorate my 1st Tree! 
This will be the first Christmas in my new home, and therefore I am SO excited to get my tree!! I've got a bay window in my living room, so I think it's going to look so magical being sat right in the middle of it.

Festive Nights In With Friends
December is always a manic month, the traffic gets heavier (& slower!) the shops are rammed and everyone seems in some kind of frenzy. The perfect excuse to avoid the rush, invite some friends round for a cosy night in, with good food, mulled wine, board games and Christmas Music! 

Christmas Party Dress!
Find my 2017 Christmas Party Dress! I always try and go for something that I can wear over and over again! I have my eye on a black wrap dress from ASOS, because it's a classic style and I know I will get a lot of use out of it! Plus it's easy to mix up using different shoes/bags.

A Trip To Edinburgh
Quite a big "to do", but I REALLY want to go to Edinburgh in the lead up to Christmas. I've never been to Scotland at all before, and Edinburgh looks so magical at this time of year! I've already found the hotel I want to stay at, but any recommendations of where to eat/drink would be AMAZING!

Pick up a Christmas Jumper!
We are having a Christmas Jumper day at work this month, to raise money for Charity. I love any event like this, and so obviously I need to try and find the best Christmas Jumper! I've picked a few I have my eye on below, but let me know if you have seen any others!

The Best Christmas Film of all time...
I will be 100% adding "watch Elf at least 18 times" to my to-do list. The best film in the entire world. 

Try Not To Give In To The Festive Food Frenzy!
Although admittedly one of my fave things about Christmas is the warm comfort food, I also want to ensure this month I try and keep a good balance, and don't make tooooo many cheese filled bad decisions. I have discovered the "Fitty London" box. They have a monthly edit with a selection of the best fit foods/snacks and accessories in the game! It's such a good way to try new things, whilst also making good choices. The muesli (below) sounds amazing!

Well, first of all apologies I am a little late with this post - It's been a busy few weeks (what's new!?) and I'm behind on pretty much EVERYTHING in life (Including I'm a Celebrity, which is obvs top priority, yano?). I had a rather lovely November, so I thought I'd best share that with you, I love writing these posts because they leave me smiling - I especially love this months because there are so many photos to share, it's basically my month in photos! Here are the things I loved in November...

One: Walks in the Woods
We had spent a couple of Sundays in November walking around the local lake and then heading to the cute cafe situated nearby. Is there anything better than a crisp fresh air walk, followed by a snuggly hot chocolate? I think not! 

Two: Nottingham - Hockley Arts Club
We went out for drinks in Nottingham for my friends birthday and came across this GORGEOUS bar!  It looked SO effective and I knew I had to share it with you Instagram lovers!! 

Three:Percy & Reed Dry Instant Volumising Spray:
You've probably heard me harp on about this brand a million times before, but honestly every time I try something new from them, it becomes my favourite thing! The Volumising Spray has become my BESTIE for the festive party season, I spray it at my roots, give my hair a bit of a wiggle and ta da - it's got a bit of life and volume in it! I can't stop using it!Get yours here.

Four: Learning New Words #WordOfTheDay
I know I sound like a fully fledged geek right now, but we started a new thing at work called "Word of the Day". The team get an e-mail each day with a word we might not have heard of before and the definition. It's actually been really fun learning new words, and then trying to implement them in life! 

Five:  Icing Class with the Biscuiteers 
I was invited by M&S to an Icing Class at the Biscuiteers In Notting Hill (Find out more here). It was SO much fun and I couldn't recommend it more! You can see more about the Icing Classes they offer here - it would make a fabulous Christmas Present! We Iced Gingerbread houses and the prosecco/snacks were FLOWING! It couldn't have been a better evening! Thanks for having me M&S.

Six: London at Christmas
I was lucky enough to spend some time in London towards the end of November. There is honestly something SO magically about London at Christmas time. All the beautiful lights across Regent Street and the gorgeous tree in St Pancras (see below). I left feeling SO festive!

Seven: Bicester Village Ladies Day: 
Every year we go on an annual Ladies day to Bicester Village! It always marks the start to my Christmas shopping and it never fails to involve lots of laughs, drink and of course shopping!!! We had such a good day, as always! Roll on next year!

Eight: Festive Comfort Food
Is there anything better than the food that comes with Christmas time? I will accept anything warm and gooey - thannnnnk you! Especially like the Camembert I had at Bicester below. What's your favourite comfort food at Christmas? 

Nine:  The White Company: Mulled Wine Candle
I picked up one of these little beauty's at Bicester Village and oh how I wish I had picked up more! It fills my kitchen with a festive dreamy smell, and it also looks super pretty on display! I plan on keeping the glass afterwards to put cotton pads in on my dressing table!

Ten: Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula 
As soon as winter hits my skin seems to instantly turn DRY! The last month I have been LATHERING on the Palmers Daily skin therapy which soothes and feeds my super dehydrated skin. It seems to be the only thing that really gives my skin the moisture it needs, and a bonus is that it smells amazing. I also gave the Enzyme Mask a try this month, which left my skin feeling clear, soft and refreshed! And if you don't fancy treating yourself, I think they would also make a great stocking filler!

For the launch of the event we were invited down to the Biscuiteers Icing Cafe in Notting Hill - the store is absolutely stunning and a must visit if you are in London! We were invited to go and try an icing class, to make our own Gingerbread houses!

I am fairly predictable with my make-up all year round, you'll always catch me with a nude lip, a luminous highlight and nude/bronze eyes. However at Christmas, I really make the effort to change up my look, and get FESTIVE! So now, enter from stage left, the gold and the burgundy's! These are the shades I am naturally drawn to at this time of year, and the shades that will prominently covering my face from now until the New Year. I've pulled together my favourite picks for the festive make up looks, and I'm excited to share them with you! 

Gold and Bronze shades are the perfect accent for the festive period - if you can't add a bitta' sparkle near Christmas, then I don't know when you can!

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Highlighter - Shade Gilded Honey. This highlighter is all I have been wearing the last few weeks, and I don't think much will be changing on the lead up to Christmas! The glimmering gold shade is super pigmented & light reflecting, and the deeper tone warms up your skin leaving a healthy and dazzling highlight! Obsessed! 
KIKO Metalic Liquid Eyeliner - Shade 01 Future is gold. This product is Christmas in a tube, I use the gold eyeliner to line just on top of my usual black liquid liner and it gives you the perfect accent of shimmer whilst still looking classy and sophisticated. 
KIKO Metalic Liner - Shade Copper Addict. Another one for adding a bit of shimmer, I use this in the corner of my eye, near the tear duct and above to open my eyes up and turn a simple look into something more glam!
MAC Pigment - Rose Gold. Now this is my absolute festive fail safe! Believe it or not I've had this for over 2 years, and it still barely looks used! The tiniest bit goes such a long way - I do my eye make up as normal, and then dab a tiny amount of this over my lid. It gives off the most amazing pigment and almost creates a foiled effect! I LOVE IT! 

Burgundy is another shade that really reminds me of Christmas, although I do love a red lip at Christmas, it's not exactly a shade you can wear on the eyes so that's where Burgundy comes in, as the middle man! Here are my top picks:

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Single - Shade Extragalactic. I'm not often one for buying single eye shadows because I prefer just to have all my shades together in a palette. However this one is an exception! I always find myself reaching for this, and it's PERFECT for this time of year. It's a plum/burgundy that has felts of pinky coppers! Basically a dream right? It's super pigmented so a little goes a REALLY long way!
KIKO Lip Liner - 02 Shade Modern Mauve - KIKO are my fail safe lip liner brand because they are both super affordable yet really high quality. This dreamy berry/plum shade is perfect for the season and matches perfectly with the lipsticks I am about to show you next....
Urban Decay Cream Lipstick - Shade Backstab - I am so in love with this lipstick formula. The pigmentation is stunning, and the added metallic sparkle look makes it different from all other lipsticks I own. It's long lasting and the shade "back-stab" gives my festive looking lips in seconds!
Too Faced Melted Lipstick - Chihuahua. This is more of a browny pink than a burgundy but I wanted to throw it into this category because I feel it compliments the colours so well. The melted lipsticks are another of my favourite lipstick formulas and I am forever lusting over the new shades! I would highly recommend trying them if you haven't already.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette - Shade Vintage Vamp - This palette basically sums up this whole post in one! It has always been one of my favourite eye shadow palettes, and it comes out of hiding every A/W with-out fail! The mix of burgundy red tones against the shimmering light gold and gold lets me to create a gorgeous 'vampy' look from just a few shades! I use the deeper shade in my crease, followed by the lighter burgundy all over my lid, finished off with a dusting of the deep gold, and the lighter gold in the corner of my eye! Simple.
