I recently headed to Bicester on our annual ladies day, it is always the kick start for the festive season for me as we head there on the first Thursday in November. The village is always decorated Christmassy from this time and its where I always begin my Christmas Shopping! I thought I would show you a few of the pieces I picked up this year.
Bumble & Bumble
My favourite hair care product OF ALL TIME - has to be the B&B dry-spun finish thickening spray, I have found a few cheaper alternatives over the years but I can't deny that I always find myself going back to this one, no matter now hard I try. The spray alone usually retails at £22.50, however when I spotted the gift set in The Cosmetics Store which included the full sized spray and a thickening shampoo/conditioner for £16.00 I'm SURE you can imagine my excitement! Naturally I picked up two sets and I felt very smug with my little bargain find!
Coccinelle
I recently broke the zip on my FAVE Croc grey Lulu Guinness purse, which left me a little heartbroken - I seem to go through purses fairly quickly. If I'm honest I am guessing that it's because I have about 58 million loyalty cards shoved in there, half of which I will never use again... but anway. As I was strolling round Bicester I spotted the most beautiful purses in the likes of Chloe, YSL and Gucci, however I decided to be adult (for once) and realise spending £280 on a purse isn't a necessity right now, especially when we are currently looking to get our own house. So I gave up my search and decided the broken zip will have to do for a while longer, that was until I spotted this beauty in the window of Coccinelle. I am a big "Blush" fan right now and It caught my eye straight away. I expected a price tag of over £100 or so but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the tag of £60! Then to top it off I got an extra 20% off to make it even sweeter! The Coccinelle purses normally retail at £130 so with another bargain under my belt I felt even more smug! The quality is fantastic, and it has enough card slots/money space to last me a lifetime!
You can check out the Coccinelle website to see the other gorgeous designs they offer - I have fallen in love with so many. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation has been in my make up bag for years, it is a fool proof foundation which gives you the most amazing coverage when you need it most. The one downside I have always found is that sometimes it looks a little TOO heavy, and it's also a bit of a nightmare to take off. When strolling the aisles of The Cosmetic Store, I spotted the Double Wear Light. I have passed it by many a times in boots as I always imagined it to be super thin/light like a BB cream. However something that day made me want to swatch it, I am so glad I did! Its nothing like you expect, it is still a super full coverage foundation, that gives a natural soft finish, but it's just a little lighter looking/easier to blend and easier to remove foundation than the classic double wear! I would highly recommend going to give it a swatch, if you haven't already.
It retails at £31.00 however I picked it up in the outlet for £22.50. MAC Cosmetics
I'm all about the raspberry/plum shades through-out Autumn. They add a pop of colour, whilst still allowing you to create a wintery/smokey eye - YUM. I spotted this Blusher in the Cosmetics Store and instantly thought EYE SHADOW. I am always partial to using a blush/bronzer as an eye shadow, they always work just as well and it's great for travelling as you have two products in one. This shade is called "A little Lusty" it retails at £18.50 and I picked it up for £13.00.
MAC Cosmetics
To be honest I didn't really even know what this product was until I got home and had a proper look at it. I think in the store I was just blinded by OOOH LOOK PRETTY PACKAGING and OH GOLD SHIMMER. This Charlotte Olympia - Cream Colour Base in the Shade Golden Age retails at £17.50 and I picked it up for £12.25. The creamy formula makes an eye shadow base which is much more festive than my usual matte base. It adds a dewy, shimmery finish and its PERFECT for the Christmas season! I can't wait to use it. If I am feeling super daring I might also try it as a cream highlight base on my cheek bones!
